This past weekend our family took our annual trip to Bass Lake. This time we decided to rent a house. Boy was it great. I loved not having to set up tents or worry about the weather. We just got there unloaded our car and were ready to head out to the lake. It was so beautiful up there. It was so quiet and peaceful. The weather on the other hand was freezing. Last year when we went it was colder then normal but still in the high 70's. This year it was freezing. There was wind and tons of rain clouds and the weather was in the 60's. It was warmer in the water then in the boat. Jordan and Candice came up on Thursday night to spend the weekend with us. We had a great time. Jordan, Michael and the kids went out on Friday and skied most of the day. They came home and were all shaking and lips were purple. It was pretty funny. Candice and I just stayed at the house and watched movies, read books, and enjoyed doing nothing. Friday night Mikey and Anya came to join the fun. Saturday everyone went out on the lake! The first group (Mikey, Anya, Candice, Jordan, Michael, and Kauner) went in the morning and then when they arrived back home Dean and Maryellen had come up for the day and they all went to lunch at Millers landing. The rumor is they have the best hamburgers around. After lunch we had a nice visit with Dean and Maryellen. Later that afternoon Michael, Jordan, me and the kids headed out. I finally worked up enough nerve to get in. Boy was it cold but the water was pretty smooth! While Jordan was skiing it began to pour. All the kids loved getting rained on in the boat. Saturday night it rained and rained and rained. We baked cookies and watched t.v. and were so happy to be inside! We had to pack up on Sunday and head home. Ellie said she wasn't ready to go but we had to get back to the real world.

Jordan was so good to play games with the kids!
This was the cute little kitchen with the sweet 1950 stove.

Taylors big week
This week is election week so Taylor is ready to get out there and get some votes. With a few cute posters and some stickers to hand out she is ready to go. The big voting day is on Friday so we will let you know if she wins. She told me even if she loses she has had a great time getting involved.

Ellie's Art
I just had to post this picture so you could all enjoy Ellie's Sunday artwork. In class they were give this picture and told the story of the good samaritan. The teacher then gave them the chance to color the picture. Her and her husband died laughing when they looked down and saw that Ellie had given the man nipples before she colored anything else in the picture. She is such a funny little girl with a huge imagination. You never know what she is thinking.

My birthday present
My mom for my birthday bought me this cute little bike that had a spot for flowers. I was finally able to sit down and fill it with these beautiful flowers. I just love it! Thank you mom!

My life
Do you ever feel like you are folding clothes all day. I thought I would share with everyone the one thing I hate the most. I feel as though it will never end. This is just two days of wash. It is hard to believe that we still have clothes in our drawers.

Update
Another week has come and gone and not much has happened. I thought I would just let everyone know I experienced what it is like to only have one child this week. Ellie started preschool on Tuesday and for 3 hours I was free. Me and Charley walked around Target in piece and quiet and then headed over to Michaels. I was able to hit all my favorite stores without a Ellie screaming that she was ready to go home. Ellie had a wonderful time at school and talks about all her friends she has made. Most of them I think aren't real but she likes to talk about them anyways.
The kids are all doing well in school. Hayden has already started asking when school will be over but every morning he gets up with a smile. Taylor has decided to run for Historian at school. She is busy studying for her constitution test she has to take in order to run. Volleyball starts in two weeks and so she is looking forward to that.
Kauner is busy hanging out with his cousin Talmage. They are joined at the hip. They have been practicing for flag football everyday after school. Their season starts in two weeks also. I look forward to going to see them play.
