Swim team!
I don't have any pictures to post this week from the swim meet but I will for sure bring my camera next meet. I just wanted to brag a little about my family and all my nieces and nephews who swam last night. Each morning three of my kids along with two of Peter and Elaine's, three of Nathan and Jill's, and three of Teddy and Mauri's get up at the crack of dawn and join the Mcmurtery swim team. Last night was their first swim meet and they all did awesome. My little Hayden swam butterfly for the first time and was so nervous. He did great! Taylor had to swim Breast stroke and didn't think she would do very well and she did awesome. Kauner had to swim 50 yards this year and did great. I was so proud to watch my kids get up on those blocks and dive in and swim as hard as they could. Not one of them gave up! Way to go everyone! You all did a great job and next time I won't forget my camera.

A very scary day
While we were up at Bass lake we had a day that was a little cold and over cast so Michael thought it would be fun to take the boys on a hike up the falls. Michael and Jordan and the two boys headed out and were gone for about two hours. When they returned Kauner told me that something happened on the hike but he couldn't tell me because dad told him not to. I of course told them to tell me what happened. Michael said that they were trying to get across the river and that Kauner fell in but everything was fine. I didn't think much about it until that night when Michael was having a hard time falling asleep because he couldn't stop thinking of kauner falling in the river. Friday came and the lake was pretty choppy so we decided to hike up with the girls to see the falls. Michael lead the way and when we got to the top he showed me where Kauner fell in. The pictures aren't the greatest but if you look there were three rocks. Michael jumped out to the first to see if they would be able to cross right there and when he turned around Kauner had followed him. Michael stood on the middle rock and went to help Kauner cross and Kauner slipped and went in. Michael grabbed hold of him and pulled him out and decided not to cross there and had Jordan help get him back to safety. If you look at the picture there is a little pond and then the river flows down between two rocks and under a very large rock. After seeing this in person I now know why he couldn't fall asleep. I am glad I wasn't there because I would have freaked out.

Our family biggest loser!
So most of you who are readers of my blog on a regular bases would know that back in January my family (the Taylors) decided to have a biggest loser challenge. Anyone who wanted to join could and the reward would be weight loss of course and the money pitched in in the beginning. This challenge was to go from January 1st to May 31st. In the beginning everyone was going strong and really doing well. I thought it was going to be hard to keep up with my brothers who were dropping weight like crazy. My sister in law Shanti and I hung in there and just kept doing our little routines. Let me just say in the end it all payed off. Shanti and I were the only ones who stuck with it and really worked hard to reach our goals. All those Taylor men caved half way through and were too far behind to catch up in the end. We kept a tally of percentage lost and in the end Shanti lost 15.1% and I lost 16.9%. We kicked some major butt. I just want to say to those Taylor men you owe Shanti and I our reward! Great job Shanti you look Great!!!!!!

Bass Lake
For the past 3 years our little family has taken a trip to Bass Lake the first week in June. This year was just as great as the rest. We like to go this week because all of Fresno area is still in school so there is very few people at the lake. The weather was beautiful and the kids had a great time. jordan and Candice joined us for a few days and it was great having the company. They were very patient with our children and were nice enough to play uno non stop. Hayden can't stop talking about when he had all wilds and he beat everyone. the slide show is coming with more great pictures.
This is the little grill where grandpa Dean goes to get the famous burger every time he is at Bass Lake. We took this picture for Grandpa Dean to let him know we were thinking of him each day we saw the grill light on!!!!
