Saying goodbye

Yesterday my family had the opportunity to go see our nephew Jordan off on his mission to Paraguay. Jordan has been such a wonderful example to my boys growing up. I know that they are going to miss him very much along with the rest of us. I have no doubt he will be a great missionary and touch many lives while he is gone. We look forward to his return in two years. We love you Jordan!

Ok ladies, I have realized that I didn't post sizes of the projects or where we were having this fun night so I thought I would update. The little event is taking place at my home 11511 Valletta Ave around 6:30. The tile is $5.00 and is 8x10, and the stackers are $10.00 and made out of 2x2's and has a wirer around them to hold them together. It is going to be a lot of fun so if you would like to come please leave a comment and we will count you in. Mark it on your calender Tuesday Oct 7th 6:30 p.m.
I still can't get the stacker picture to upload but if you go to Linda's site she has a picture of what they look like.

For those of you who are interested in going to a Modbe clothing Party my Friend Haley Bennett is having a party Thursday Oct 2nd at 6:30 p.m. She said all are welcome.

Project night

For anyone who is interested Linda and I thought it might be fun to have a little project night and offer two small items to be made. The first one is the Halloween tile and the second is a set of stackers. We thought we would have it Tuesday night the 7th of October around 6:30 until you are done. It shouldn't take that long to make each item so if you would like to come let me or Linda know.

Halloween tile $5.00

I couldn't get my picture to upload so keep checking and I will continue to try to upload.

Nothing like Friday night football

Last Friday Michael and I went out on a much needed date! I was very excited to get out have some good food and then we were going to watch a liberty football game. My nephew Mason plays on the Liberty Varsity football team and I really wanted to go watch him play. It was a great game and Mason played awesome. I must say I had a great time and hope to get to a few more games. My other Nephew Porter plays for Frontier High so will definitely have to go see one of his also. Good luck boys on your upcoming football season!

Living with a pre-teen!

For those of you who live with girls the age 10-11 you will know exactly where I am coming from. When we are driving in the car we must listen to Disney radio so that we might get the chance to hear the Jonas Brothers sing one of their catchy tunes. The room is filled with Jonas Brother pictures and all we watch on tv is Camp rock. So the other day I went in to get Taylors clothes from her hamper and was amazed at what I saw!

I later found out that it was Nick Jonas's birthday and so she had to pay tribute by decorating with everything Jonas. What a funny little girl.

Girls weekend

This past weekend a few friends and I headed over to the coast for a girls only weekend. It was so great. We had a great time shopping, eating, and talking all night. The is nothing better then hanging out all night laughing and sharing stories that each of us can relate to. Thank you to all you girls who invited me to come along. I had a great time. I hope we do this again next year. One friend (Lisa) was not able to come and she was missed. Next year for sure Lisa will be there. We sat in the huge spa the first night we got there and then Early Friday morning we each had spa treatments. It was so fun. Each time we went to eat the service stunk it up but that will be something we can laugh about now. The mall in Santa Barbara was really pretty and I would love to go back to shop some more. Saturday I came home to children who were so excited to see me. It was nice. Michael did a great job with the kids and had everything pretty clean. Thank you to him also for letting me go knowing it was what I needed. I tried to get some pictures but I know everyone had cameras so I am sure they all have better pictures then me so you will just have to blog hop and check them out!

I loved the disco lights in the bathroom.

The sitting area and place where Kim and I slept. We were the ones who woke up early so we slept out front where we wouldn't wake anyone up.

Blog surfing

Yesterday I got home from picking up Ellie and sat down infront of the computer to do alittle blog surfing and 3 hours later I was still sitting there in front of the computer screen. I don't know what it is about reading about other people lives and how they handle certain situations but I am addicted. There is one blog that I read most the time yesterday and I found myself inspired by this person. I don't if any of you ever go from my blog to my friend Mandee's but a few weeks ago on Mandee's blog she talked about a young mother who was in a horrible plane crash with her husband and was badly hurt and in the hospital. Her friends and family were trying to raise money to help this little family get through this horrible time. I then went to the blog of Nie Nie to just see who she was and learn alittle more about her family. Can I just say that this young mother has truley made me look at my life and how I handle things. I have felt very inspired by her to be a better wife and mother to my husband and children. She is always very positive about life and handles things with a smile on. I pray that everything will be ok for her, her husband, and four little children.

Sweet Taylor

I just wanted to dedicate a post to my oldest child Taylor. I have really been blessed to have such a sweet thoughtful little girl. I hope those who know her feel the same as I do. She has been working so hard on all her school assignments each day from the moment she gets home until bed time with no complaint. I am so proud of the young girl she is becoming and how thoughtful she is of everyone around. She is always willing to do what I ask without arguing at all. Taylor, thank you for being such a great example to not only me but your younger siblings.

First day of Pre-school

So as most of you know I decided to put Charley into pre-school two days a week for three hours a day. Last Thursday we went and met her teachers and she wasn't even scared. She told me I could leave. I thought for sure she would be a little different today with all the other kids being there and some of them crying but that wasn't the case. We got up and got ready for school and then off we went. The whole way in the car she kept asking if we were there yet. When we got there we walked to the bathroom first in hopes that she would go potty before class but of course she told me she wanted to go later so we headed for class. When we walked in she grabbed my hand and I thought she wouldn't let go but as soon as she saw the play kitchen and dress ups she was gone. I kissed her goodbye and walked to the car child free. What a beautiful morning I had. I ran a few errands and then of course had to stop off at Target! When I got back to the school to pick her up she was sitting nicely in her chair just waiting for me. She looked so cute. We went and met Michael for lunch and she told him all about her day. Then we went home. After awhile at home I couldn't find her so I went on the search and I found her passed out on her bed. Her first day of school really wiped her out!
