Happy Birthday Mikey!

Today my little brother turns the big 30! I am happy to say that the 30's haven't been too bad. I hope he has a wonderful day with many more to come! Love you Mikey.

Happy it's almost over!

This week has not been a good week for me. It all began last Sunday morning. We all woke up early and were ready by 10:15 which was so amazing. I was in a great mood and was happy to be going to church. I loaded the kids in the car excited for Michael to see us walking through the door super early and as I began to back up I heard a scrapping noise. I looked at Taylor and she made a "not a good sound" face. I pulled forward and realized that I had hit my garage wall. I don't remember what came out of my mouth but the kids said it was not good. The night before Michael had driven my car and had pulled it into the garage. He seems to think that it has to be parked a certain way so that there is more room next to his truck so when the kids walk through they won't scratch his truck. So just to get out of my garage I had to do what seemed like a ten point turn about. We got to church and I got out to look at the damage. Of coarse there is a lovely dent and scratch on the right rear of my car. For those of you who know me you know I am very anal about things and there is nothing that makes me more upset then scratches I can't fix. Michael sat down next to me and I wasn't very nice to him. Sorry for that Michael. The day passed and we made it through ok. Monday came and went with anything major. Tuesday was the big daddy daughter dance for Taylor and Michael and they were all dressed up in cowboy gear for the theme. They looked so cute I wanted to get a picture. So in my closet I go to get my camera. I posed them in front of the fire place for a cute shot and when I went to use my camera I notice it wouldn't focus and it made a clicking noise. Michael takes it from me and we realize that it has been dropped and my lense is broken. You would never guess who went running out of the room! CHARLEY!!! I was so upset I didn't know what to even say. I just went at put my camera away and tried not to even think about it. Wednesday was a good day and Thursday wasn't to bad either but then came Friday. Friday morning the kids are getting ready for school and Kauner brings me his progress report. I think he was hoping I would just sign it and not look but I took a moment to look at it and wasn't happy with what I saw. He was getting a c- in reading because of missing homework assignments. This is something we have talked with him about before and everyday when he gets home I ask if he has homework and his answer is always no. Now he has all these missing assignments and he says he just forgets he has homework. I begin lecturing and realize he has tuned me out and everything I was saying he wasn't even hearing. I told him his dad would talk to him when he got home and he said FINE. Friday afternoon is scouts and I am the Weblo leader. I thought I was ready for the day but of coarse last minute I wasn't. I am running around trying to get everything ready to go. Boys are so different then girls. They don't care what things look like they just want it done. A project that would take a girl a half hour to do takes them five minutes. I have such a hard time letting them just do it their way and not comment on what it looks like. It is going to be a challenge for me. So once scouts was over I was so happy. Today is Saturday and my week is almost over. I hope today can just run smoothly and my new week will be great.

Little Valentines

Our youngest Charley goes to pre-school two days a week and every time I pick her up from school all she talks about is a little boy in her class. His name is Alexander and he is so cute. The teachers tell me that they are always together and will only do crafts and things if they can be together. I love hearing her talk about her little friend. Well Thursday was their Valentines party and when I got there to pick her up her teachers had to tell me how cute they were. I guess that they were handing out Valentines to all the kids in their class and Alexander made Charley a very special Valentine. She was so excited to show me her very large Valentine. I love their little friendship they have and I hope they can be in the same class next year!

Happy Valentines Day

I just wanted to say Happy Valentines Day to the man I love! Thank you for loving me. After having you gone for a week I have realized that I wouldn't last very long if something happened to you. No sleep, Diet Dr. pepper and naughty kids are not a good combo without a husband to help keep the peace. I love you!

Things your kids say

Today Charley and I were driving home from pre-school and I stopped to get my usual route 44 at sonic. As we drove out of the parking lot Charley says, " I'm growing big like you mommy. "

I then say, "You sure are." She then tells me, "I am going to be a mommy like you and get a soda everyday." " Won't that be Great!" How about those dreams!

The day has arrived!

Today is a beautiful day! For those of you who didn't know. My husband has been in Hawaii with my brothers for the past 7 days. I have such a hard time when he is away. The kids and I are so excited to have him home. Charley all day kept telling me she could hear his airplane in the ski. I do have to say for the most part our kids were good for me. I am looking forward to being able to go to bed at a decent hour and sleeping all night. Welcome home honey!

Day 6

I would have to say today has been my hardest day during this count down. My kids didn't have school today so last night they didn't go to bed until late. There was no sleeping in today for some reason. I didn't fall asleep until late and so my head was pounding by 11:00. I don't know how my sister does it. She works all night and then comes home and can still function for the day. We headed over to my moms to help her with my nieces because she feel and hurt herself last night. The little girls were good for me but boy were my boys on one. The kept fighting non stop. I seriously wanted to run away and just keep running. Once my dad came home from work we left and headed home. I am so tired right now that my patients are very thin. Kauner informed me he had to do a book report and as I tried to explain how to do it he kept telling me I was wrong. I found myself screaming at him and I haven't done that in a very long time. I Have such a hard time communicating with him because he talks to me as if I am the stupidest person on the planet. I feel like he is very disrespectful at times and when I try to talk to him about it it just gets worse. I am not looking forward to teenage years when he really thinks I know nothing. They are all in bed now and I am so tired. Tomorrow is the day and I can't wait. I just hope I can get the kids off to school tomorrow and be in a good mood. Why do we celebrate Presidents day? I hate these days off!!!!! Goodnight

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SUNNI!!!!

Today is my little sisters birthday! I hope she has a wonderful day! I wish she lived closer so I could watch her boys and she could spend the day spoiling herself.

Day 5

Today was not like my normal Sunday. We all slept in which was so nice. Ellie came in at 7:00 and asked me if I would toast her a pop tart and I said are you kidding? The next thing I know it is 9:30 and everyone is sleeping. With some of the kids having colds we played hookie from church and headed over to mom and dads for lunch. We had a nice time there and just relaxed until around 8:00. The kids were getting fussy and so that was the sign it was time to go. We got home and all the kids went to bed. My nephew Zeke came home with us to spin the night and boy was Hayden happy about that. It has been a quiet night of watching tv and sewing some. I am actually looking forward to getting into my warm bed and going to sleep. I hope they all sleep in tomorrow also since we have no school. Until tomorrow goodnight.

Day 4

Today was a crazy day. I spent the day driving all over Bakersfield watching Basketball. I am going to admit online that girls should not play basketball. Taylors games are so hard for me to watch. Even if she has a good game the rest of her team is just horrible. By the time we got to Kauners game there wasn't much time left. We got to see him make a few lay ups and a couple shots until he got hurt. They were killing the other team so they were becoming very frustrated and one of the boys tackled Kauner. What a game 64-10 I believe was the final score. After basketball we came home and I sat down to sew. Before I knew it it was 7:30 and we still hadn't had dinner. What a loser mom I am. Nothing like chicken strips and fries and of course some ice cream to top it off.  We all sat down to watch Madagascar 2 and it was pretty cute. Charley's favorite part was the end when they all dance and sing. She was pretty cute dancing in front of the tv trying to mimic the characters. I got the kids in bed and sat down to sew some more but of course ran out of tread. I will just have to wait until Monday to finish my project. I am hoping to sleep well tonight and have a great day tomorrow! Goodnight

Day 3

Today started out very slow. I got the kids out the door for school alittle later then they would have liked and then started picking up the house. Charley slept and slept and slept. By 9:oo I began wondering if she was going to wake up at all today. Finally she woke up, we got ready and out the door we went. Our usual routine of gym and then alittle shopping. Today was Walmart and I do have to say it was not to bad. I got a great deal on these little leggings for the girls to go along with the outfits I made. The best part was they were only a dollar. I couldn't believe it! We journeyed home to meet up with a good friend to help hem some pants. It was nice to have an adult conversation. Kids came home and then around 3:00 it was time to go get Taylor from school. Normally she rides the bus home but this morning she told me her camp keep money was due and I couldn't find the check book so I told her I would find the check book while she was at school and then bring the money when she got out. The bad part about this story is we still can't find the check book. I have looked everywhere, called Michael and still no check book. Thank goodness for ATMS! After a busy day I ran for my daily dose during happy hour and then back home to get ready for the evening. The kids have been saving up cans and then we cash them in to buy games for the Wii, so we got Wii fit today and started playing tonight. It is alot of fun. The only thing I didn't like was it said my Wii age is 36. What is up with that. I have to admit to the world that my kids have been really good for me these past couple of days. I hope I am able to express to them how grateful I am for them behaving and getting along with eachother. Taylor babysat tonight for our Neighbors and did a good job. She is such a sweet little girl and helps out a ton. I have been busy sewing while the kids sleep and I just have to say these little outfits I am making are so dang cute. I will be sure to post a pictures of them when I get them done. It is so quiet and peaceful right now and I still can't fall alseep. Today was another great day so I am looking forward to tomorrow! Until tomorrow goodnight!

We are in so much trouble!

Scary I know.

Day 2

Today was a really good day! I got up with the kids around 7:30 and got them out the door by 8:00. Kauner was very happy about that. He gets very upset when they are late to school. Charley was off to preschool by 9:00 and I headed for the gym. After a great morning Charley and I came home for lunch. She loves this little guy in Preschool named Alexander so the whole way home she talked about what they did at school today and then kept telling me he was coming over to play. I am going to have him come over one of these days. Ellie came home from school and hasn't been feeling well so once she sat down on the couch she was asleep. Tonight was the big pine wood derby car night. Kauner this year wanted to have the wiener snitchel car so that is what he did. The car turned out really cool but it ended up not being very fast. He was a good sport about the whole thing. I was very proud of him. I was proud of myself because I remembered to bring the video camera. I will try to put it on the blog tomorrow. Kids are bathed and in bed and I actually feel like I could go to sleep. That is a good thing for sure. Tomorrow is for sure going to be great because there is nothing better then Friday! Another day down without any major crisis. Yeah for me! See you all tomorrow.

The count down is on!

Next Tuesday is going to be a glorious day! I thought to make the time go by I would document how each day was going until the end of day seven. I hope this works!

Day 1
Wake up at 3:00, 4:00, 5:00, 6:30, 7:00am up for good.
Make the kids lunches get them ready and off to school!
I decided to take the day off from the gym and climbed back into bed to sleep but Charley decided to wake up and play. I joined Face Book something I said I would never do and have to say it was addicting. That is just what I need something else to be addicted too.
By 10:00 I was up and ready to go so Charley and I headed out for the day. We ran to my favorite store Target of course and then over to my moms for some adult conversation!
By 1:00 I had to zip across town to pick up Ellie and then I headed over to get my number 1 addiction of all. Tasting the sweet nectar on my lips was such a joy!
Charley was good for me today which was nice. I love being a mom when all my kids come home with smiles and do what is asked. If life could only always be that way.
6:00 my mom came out to watch my kids so Taylor and i could g to New beginings. She is so excited to go into Young Womans. It was fun to watch her enter act with the other girls her again.
Came home by 8:30 and put the kids to bed. Or should I say all but Charley. She continues to wonder around refusing to go to bed. What to do What to do.
I am hoping to fall alseep by 12:00 but we shall see. Today was a good day. Stay tune for tomorrows journey! Goodnight to all!!!!
